Starting today Noisecreep.com is hosting a debut of the track “Death Before Disco” from TUCK FROM HELL’S forthcoming release “Thrashing”. “Thrashing” is the band’s first proper studio release and it is being released on January 25, 2011 via Metalville Records. Check out the song “Death Before Disco” at http://www.noisecreep.com/2011/01/10/tuck-from-death-before-disco-song-premiere/

In 2007, five young metal heads decided to join forces in a band to create some serious metal in the Bay Area thrash style.

Quickly, they band earned a reputation of being a wild live unit and soon the fan base increased. Their fans call themselves “Tuckers” and wherever TUCK FROM HELL performs, the “Tuckers” are there in the pit.

In 2008 they went to the Darkside, the studio led by Martin Haglund, ex Astral Doors. There they recorded a four track demo entitled, “Barbeque Beast”. It received great reviews in many European metal magazines including Sweden Rock.

The year 2009 saw the band once again playing a ton of live shows. They were support act to bands like Astral Doors, Hellfueled and Lion’s Share and also had a successful headlining run of their own Later that year, TUCK FROM HELL started writing new songs. Bay Area thrash was still their main influence, but they wanted to bring something new to the genre: strong and catchy sing a long choruses.

January 2010, the guys, all born 1988, entered the Darkside studio once again to record their debut album. 3 months later they came out with a debut album that is sure to be a favorite for metal heads across the globe,

Led by drummer Nils Fredrik Johansson, the charismatic singer Niclas Ingels, guitar wiz kid Petrus Granar, insane rhythm guitarist Polo Bengts and Bass player Tomas Sonesson, TUCK plans on dominating the thrash scene for many years to come.

Canadian heavy metal trio CAULDRON are offering fans a free, limited edition CHROMIUM DIOXIDE fanzine with limited edition copies of the band’s upcoming new album, BURNING FORTUNE.

Due to be released in Europe on February 14th and in North America on February 15th, the limited edition CD and vinyl versions of BURNING FORTUNE will include a free special edition copy of CHROMIUM DIOXIDE – a rare and collectible CAULDRON-themed issue of the magazine dedicated entirely to the young Canadian bangers.

CAULDRON frontman JASON DECAY comments:

“Chromium Dioxide is our favourite zine out there, plus we’re good friends with the creator, Phil, so when Earache suggested we include a Cauldron special edition of the magazine as a bonus with the new album, it was a no-brainer. It’s really an honor to have a magazine, let alone one of the most addictive reads out there, dedicate an entire – although mini – issue to us.”

CHROMIUM DIOXIDE creator PHILIP “PHILTHY” BERNARD adds:

“The initial project was entitled “Harry Potter & The Witch’s Warm Mouth”, but for copyright reasons, we decided on “Chromium Dioxide: Burning Fortune Special Edition”.

“The collaboration was natural and, I guess, somewhat inevitable. Funny thing is, the mag was born in the Cauldron jam space. We’d all be pounding back discount beers together, and while the boys practised, I’d be hanging out working my art projects. Basically an Alcoholics Unanimous meets a five-man Art Community Centre. We toyed with the idea of creating a band called Chromium Dioxide, named after that old cassette tape technology, but it never really came to pass due to hectic schedules… and my lack of musical talent. But I’m just fine just being the Sleazy P. Martini of Cauldron. We know our roles.

“The collaboration was just a fun way we’d all be on the same level – except this time I was on leads.”

Get a sneak peak of the CAULDRON special edition of CHROMIUM DIOXIDE at http://earacherecords.com/myspace/cauldron_chromiumdioxide.jpg

As well as the limited edition CD and limited edition vinyl versions of BURNING FORTUNE, which include the free special edition of CHROMIUM DIOXIDE, the album is also available without the fanzine on low price CD.

Pre-order your copy now in Europe at http://earache.com/webstore/index.php/cPath/667_668_700 or in North America at http://earache.com/uswebstore/index.php/cPath/667_668_700

Catch CAULDRON live on tour at the following shows:

Jan. 28 – Richmond, VA – Canal Club
Jan. 29 – Philadelphia, PA – Millcreek Tavern

OSLO, Norway – Mortiis will return to the touring circuit this winter with a two-month, full European tour supporting evil-electro outfit Combichrist.

“In some fundamental ways, Combichrist and Mortiis are very different, but in other fundamental ways, we are very much the Mortiis bandsame,” expl ained vocalist and namesake Mortiis. “At the end of the day, both bands have this ‘f-you’ attitude. It’s expressed somewhat differently musically, but energy and attitude-wise we’re carrying the same torch, so to speak. I think fans of both bands will pick up on that.”

Mortiis took a break from touring while preparing their latest releases, the soon-to-emerge next album, “the Great Deceiver” and “Perfectly Defect,” a totally free digital download. Unveiled October 10, “Perfectly Defect” is full-length, downloadaPD coverble album available at www.mortiis.com. “Perfectly Defect” is the quintessential prelude to the world of “The Great Deceiver” – while the latter is heavier and darker, the former is varied, experimental, and largely instrumental. The bottom line is that “Perfectly Defect” leads into “The Great Deceiver” acting as a crucial stage in the evolution of Mortiis’ music.

The group is anxious to get back on stage and is ready to unleash months of pent-up aggression during their live show. Fans can expect to hear tracks from “Perfectly Defect” and “The Great Deceiver,” as well as some older songs with a different twist.

“We’ve seriously pimped up a selection of older songs that we’ll be performing,” Mortiis said. “So, across the board, it will be a new, and for lack of a better expression, very ‘pimped up’ bunch of songs!”

A tour with Combichrist was imminent. Aside from having a long acquaintance with Combichrist’s founder and Norwegian-native Andy LaPlegua, drummer Joe Letz is an extended member of the Mortiis family. After connecting with Letz during Mortiis’ US tour with the Genitorturers – Letz’s former band – the drummer got involved with Mortiis on some of the recording of “The Great Deceiver.”

“It was just a question of time until we’d go out on tour together again,” Mortiis said. “Joe is still a part of this band, the way we all see it. We always have a great time when we’re together and I think this is something everyone’s been wanting to happen for a while now. So when the opportunity came about, we pretty much did what had to be done to make it happen.”

Scarlet Records has announced their second set of releases in the North American Market. They are DOTMA’S “Sleep Paralyses” and ODD DIMENSION’S “Symmetrical” Both releases are scheduled for release on March 22, 2011.

DOTMA were formed in 2005 in the small city of Hyvinkää, Finland, by guitarist and keyboardist Harri Koskela. From the very beginning it was clear that the band were something more than the usual”dungeons & dragons” act. It was a musical revolution. Fantasy brought to life.

The band doesn’t just express the agony, pain and beauty in their lyrics but also in the music, which is veiled with ghostly, yet beautiful charismatic singing, orchestral elements and deep synths… sadness and hope unite.

DOTMA stepped into the studio in 2007 for the very first time, and that’s where it all turned around. The band had changed; they had grown and written amazing new songs, ready to earn their place in the music world.

They started recording their first album in December 2009 at Rockstar Productions, in Hyvinkää, Finland, with the help of sound engineer Lari Takala. The album was mastered in May 2010 at renowned Cutting Room Studios, Sweden, with Björn Engelmann.

On this spectacular debut release they had the chance to collaborate with various guest musicians such as Vladimir Lumi (ex-Thaurorod), Ines Lukkanen (Embassy Of Silence), Lasse Nyman (Thaurorod) and Tero Kalliomäki (Embassy Of Silence, Saattue). And let’s not forget DOTMA’S own Johanna Lesonen’s outstanding vocal performance, which makes the band’s music a truly overwhelming experience.

“Sleep Paralyses” will be released in March 2011 on Scarlet Records. And be sure that it will be something worth waiting for.

“The human and musical path which drove us to the realization of this album is fully reflected in the sound mix which characterizes our songs”, says ODD DIMENSION about “Symmetrical”, their forthcoming debut album.

The album is made up of seven tracks that represent, even on a textual level, a sound path which originates from very intense atmospheres and flows that then follow into a milder end: a journey amid lights and shadows, good and evil, past and present all transfigured within a relationship of a father and his son, lead by a narrator into the interior journey within themselves.

The journey of these six exceptional musicians started in 2001 with their introduction in the metal scene, which they’ve explored in its entirety, from classical death metal to the progressive genre and everything in between.

“Mixing all those musical influences wasn’t easy in the beginning”, states Gigi Andreone, bass player, referring to his first sessions with Federico Pennazzato (drums), Gianmaria Saddi (guitars) and Antonio Agate (keyboards), “but with the Arrival of Manuel Candiotto (vocals) everything really started to fall into place”.

The band’s first EP, “A New Dimension”, came out in 2005 and it was very well received by critics.

The EP was followed by an exciting and intense period of touring. Soon after the release of the EP, ODD DIMENSION were joined by keyboardist Gabriele Ciaccia and together they began working on their first full length album.

Recorded and produced by Gianmaria and Gigi in the band’s own studio, “Symmetrical” was mixed at Thin Ice Studios – Surrey, UK by Threshold’s guitarist Karl Groom (renowned for his work with bands like Yes and Dragonforce) and mastered in Milan, Italy by Alberto Cutolo at Massive Art Studios. The artwork was done by Brazilian artist Gustavo Sazes at Abstrata Studios (Manowar, Kamelot, Angra, Lauren Harris, Arch Enemy).

In November 2010 the band signed a record deal with Scarlet Records for an early 2011 release of “Symmetrical” worldwide.

ALBUM IN STORES JANUARY 11, 2011 IN NORTH AMERICA ON SPV/STEAMHAMMER

Today DECIBEL Magazine’s exclusively premieres a new track from SODOM’s forthcoming release “In War and Pieces” on their “Deciblog”. In addition to premiering the new track, the “Deciblog” will be a weekly giveaway of the Double LP “Blood Red vinyl version of “In War and Pieces” Check out the next track “The Art of Killing Poetry” and enter for a chance to win a copy of “In War and Pieces” at http://fpro.us/1E

January 11, 2011 is the North American street date for SODOM’s new album, In War And Pieces. The album is will be available in the following formats: regular CD, two-CD digipack, double vinyl, two-CD digipack with lanyard.

“In War And Pieces” was produced by Waldemar Sorychta, who has previously worked with Tiamat, Moonspell, Lacuna Coil and Sentenced, among many others. The cover artwork (see below) was created by Eliran Kantor, who has previously worked with Testament, Sigh, Anacrusis and GWAR.

In a recent interview with Mattowarrior’s Metal Madness, SODOM bassist/vocalist Thomas “Angelripper” Such stated about the upcoming album, “We have a new producer, Waldemar Sorychta of GRIP INC. He’s like a fourth bandmember. I told him I wanted SODOM to go back to our roots, and it’s important to create an album with an old sound. I don’t like productions where the bands sound like all the others. He ha[d] many ideas on how to arrange the album, and vocal lines, etc.”

Such previously stated about the group’s new material, “There has never been a SODOM album which is so wide-ranged, as powerful and as typically SODOM as this one.”
